Please join us for Progress to end child marriage: a decade of driving forward, a virtual ten-year anniversary event and panel discussion hosted by the Ford Foundation and Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage. The movement to end child marriage globally has brought about significant achievements ranging from new political commitments at all levels to increased awareness, funding and programming — ultimately contributing to declining rates of child marriage. However, one in five girls around the world are still married under 18. COVID-19, insecurity, climate change and backlash against gender equality represent real and ongoing threats to progress. Marking ten years of Girls Not Brides at this virtual event, we’ll hear from leaders on how the movement has driven positive change for girls, and the urgent priorities to build a more equitable future for all.
